How refreshing is a cup of Green tea, learn here how to make one!

Green tea energy ingredients:
All that you will require to make a refreshing cup of energy drink of green tea will include 4 cups of water, something to boil the water (electric or gas stove or a microwave), 8 single cup tea bags, 1 cup of frozen fruit juice concentrate (choose your own flavor, while lemon being the most common fruit for a tangy taste that blends well with the green tea), 2 ½ cups of water, 2 quart pitcher, a cover for the pitcher, long handle spoon and 8 doses of liquid B complex vitamins.
How do you change a cup of simple green tea into a cup of energy drink?
1.     Boil the four cups of water in the electric kettle, pot of microwave cup, remove from the heat and allow cooling for three minutes. Since to get the best out of your green tea without losing flavor, you need to keep the standing temperature for the green tea well below the boiling point of water.
2.     Place the green tea bags into the bottom of the pitcher and pour the four cups of boiled water over the green tea bags.
3.     Cover the pitcher with tea bags and hot water with a lid or a saucer for three to five minutes, depending on how strong the tea flavor you would like to be extracted. When done, uncover the pitcher and remove the tea bags.
4.     This is the time to add flavor to your green tea and mix with the remaining two and a half cups of water and the liquid B complex vitamins.
5.     Mix well by stirring them thoroughly and serve chilled over ice or in the refrigerator and you could store this preparation for a week in an airtight bottle.

Growing Temperate Rice Varieties In The Temperate Way For The Summer!

ice
Australian Rice
Well what can do more good than RICE for this hot summer on your platter! Rice in the temperate regions is a summer crop and you will find here what makes rice a good summer crop to grow for the farmers too..with Australia as the classical temperate country growing rice!

The Plan For Growing Rice:

Australia being a major producer of temperate varieties worldwide has a very systematic way for cultivation of rice, which is well planned for the warm and wet conditions. In Australia, rice is grown as an irrigated summer crop, during the months of September to March.

1. Preparing To Sow In September:

The field is prepared for growing rice as outlined by the strict guidelines by the Rice Grower's Association (RGA) by those farmers who are able to make it to the level of procuring a license for cultivation. Initially, most of the farmers use laser-guided land leveling techniques, which though seems to be a time waster actually increases the crop productivity in the end and also cuts out your expense in the Water Use Efficiency (WUE).

2. Sowing The Seed:

Seeds are sown using aircraft guided with the help of satellite guidance technology for broadcasting simulating the technology of dropping bombs. Prior to sowing the seeds are soaked for two hours and drained for 24 hours, which raises them to be small seedlings in three days with tiny shoots like nymphs. There is minimal restriction for sowing seeds, which should be at least 120 kg/ hectare, which can nurture nearly 300 plants per square meter. No chemicals are added to the field, which is one of added advantage for the demand for Australian rice in other temperate regions where this cannot be cultivated. Pesticides and herbicides to keep the pests and weeds at bay are added to the last 10 days when they are prone to the risk of pest attacks, by spraying these chemicals only in the bay when the water that had been kept to the level of 5 to 25 cm until that time are allowed to dry out.

3. Growing Phase (January To February):

Depending on the type of variety that is grown the period of flowering and seed setting will vary. The rice plant in homozygous and are self pollinated, which forms four to five tillers with each tillers bearing a terminal flowering head or panicle and the seed setting within the protection of the husk. The rice plant roots well within the clayey soil forming additional thin aerial surface roots for oxygenation in the top soil, and thick adventitious short and white fibrous roots that are adapted for preventing radial oxygen loss (ROL) and enhancing the longitudinal gas transport.
The only fertilizers that may be added to the soil are nitrogen and phosphorous to aid in increasing the growth.

4. Autumn Harvest (March To April):

As almost most of the varieties mature and grows to get ready by the months of March to April, they are harvested the fields are 'locked up' to prevent further water inflow and outflow, allowing the remaining water to aid in the maturation of the paddy rice (the rice that is ready for harvesting is known in Australia as the paddy rice), and are unmilled from the husk for consumption using harvesters, and the field in plown and allowed to get ready for other crops that require less water for their growth like wheat or legumes to be seeded for completing their lie cycle with the left over water in the field.

Australian Rice Varieties

Australia being one of the biggest countries in the Southern hemisphere, located in the Oceania continent, faces both the tropical and temperate climates. Despite having a tropical climate, which is being considered to the be the favorable climate for growing the semi-aquatic crop, rice, in Australia, only 20 per cent of the total rice produced could be attributed to the tropical side, while more than 80 per cent of the production comes from the temperate regions of Australia in Victoria and New South Wales.

This 80 percent of the rice production will include the cultivation of medium grain varieties called the Japonica varieties. The high temperature during the summer and lack of tropical humidity, favors the growth of these varieties. They are, therefore, very often called the temperate varieties. Some of the popular Japonica varieties cultivated and used well in Australia are Amaroo and their predecessor, Calrose. Amaroo and Millin are the most popular medium grain rice varieties.

Nevertheless, Koshihikari, is the short rice variety, that is also used much in Japan.

The rest of the 20 percent of the rice to be cultivated in the tropical regions will comprise of the long grain Indica varieties, like the Langi, being the largest seller. Other popularly cultivates long grain rice varieties will also include the fragrant varieties like the Basmati.

So, which , rice do you think you are consuming more?

Your Guardian Angel is based on the day you were born and I will be discussing the Guardian angel in my household here.

My Dad:

I found that his Angel is St. Sealtiel.

St. Sealtiel is the Archangel of contemplation and workshop, and stands before God with an incenser in hand symbolizing the non-stop adoration to the Most Holy Trinity in Christianity, and a point to not my Dad has Trinity as part of his Family Name. The purity of this angel’s mission is to transform the love and worship that we give to God. Probably these people can choose a successful career in theology. This angel is the one that provides you with the power to overcome evil deeds.

This Angel is known for stopping Abraham from killing his own son as a sacrifice. (Gen. 22:12)

My Mom:

Her angel, St. Raphael is the Archangel, who as per Christianity will guide you to the journey to Heaven, where God has a room for all of us. This is the place of ultimate happiness. The Angel gives you the power to discern good from bad, and helps us to be precarious about dangers. This Angel is also known as the “medicine of God” and will bring to your home good health and abundant provisions during this journey. (Tob. 8:3; 12:15).

My Sister:

Her Angel, St. Uriel is the Angel with a weighing scale that will remind of divine justice based on the good things we do in relation to God, which benefits to our neighbors and to ourselves, both to the individuals and to the community. This will be the Angel as Revelation to come down to earth on the Day of Judgement to judge the godlessness and pride of the human race. (Book of Henoch and IV Esd. 4:1).

My Nephew:

The angel for this little brat is St. Gabriel. A very popular Angel carrying the secret messages of God to human beings to God’s chosen one. He is the Angel who announced the birth of Christ via Blessed Virgin Mary (Luke 1:19) and foretold Daniel about the world (Dan 8:19; 9:21).

Myself:

Being the pride of having St. Uriel as the Angel like my sister. Quite interesting indeed!

What Makes Indian Women Stand Out? -Series I

If there is one single reason I could state at this instance, I will immediately remember the gorgeous Hair and Hairstyles that Indian Women adore.

Indian women take real care of their hair. Most of them use a number of aromatic substances and natural conditioners to make their hair look strong and healthy. In fact, there is one infamous historical argument between two great Tamil poets of ancient time over the aroma from the hair of Indian women is innate or because of the substances that she uses to wash her hair.

Hairstyles by Indian women are well appreciated and is adopted by many women of Western Countries who love the natural black hair of Indian women, and I was no exceptional when I was in abroad!

If you would like to have a quick look at some of the adorable Indian hairstyles, watch this video that I adopted from somewhere in YouTube!

Stealing - A Psychological Disorder

The habit of stealing is a childhood disorder that is observed in children or teens and is of concern to parents, as their children may turn out to be if not monitored as juvenile delinquent. While this is also a disorder that results following post traumatic stress disorders and is diagnosed in conjunction as a symptom of depression following the trauma.

While there is nothing unusual when you see the child in the age group of three to five years old to take other things, this is a serious metal health disorder to be checked for children above this age who need not be told that this is a wrong habit. The habit of stealing comes from parents and past family history will indicate how the little one is grown up, as an angel or as a little brat that has to be "Scat! Scat! The Brat!" Children are thought about property rights by their parents, for example, children will be confused if you are going to teach them not to take other's properties and come back home with pens and stationaries from your office, which is, in fact provided to your for official purpose.

Reasons for Stealing Habits:

While there are many other reasons, which were identified to be responsible for teenage and juvenile stealers.
 1. If one of the siblings are adored with more gifts and affection, the other may steal to compensate.
2. Teenage stealing is an act of bravery for peer acceptation amongst their circle of friends, and is also a behavioral tendency to claim the authority of being the bully and not become the victim of bullying.
3. Children being enslaved and deprived of independancy will tend to steal for independancy.

Measures To Prevent and Treat Stealing Habits:

Some of the best ways to get ride of stealing habits from your siblings and teens is to adopt one or more of the following strategies, initially at home:

1. Monitoring the child without their knowledge and let them know that stealing is a bad social habit, and will make them to lose good friends and relationships.
2. Make them compensate immediately for the stolen object.
3. Prevent the child form enjoying the fruits of the stolen objects.
4. Find better ways and options of teaching your child to feel how the person losing things will be affected.
5. Make this a point that this behavior will have an impact on the reputation of the family background and also on the consequence of this demeneaour could lead to breaking the law.
4. Find out what is lacking for the affected child and try to close the gap with the other sibling.

If the problem persists, and the child refuses to accept the act of stealing and the stolen object in a proper manner, then there is a chance that the stealing behavior will reoccur. Now, is the time for the family to think about seeking a professional help, by taking the child for evaluation by a child and adolescent psychiatrist.

Learning To Control Your Anger - Anger Management For Real Anger And Not Induced Anger

Anger management is only successful if you could know and understand more about your “anger” and more about the types of anger that you are facing.

What is anger?

Anger is something that results because of certain circumstantial emotional and physical changes, which is of natural occurrence or owing to others intruding behavior. This is a normal process, and you are a normal human being only if you get angry, as this is part of normal human evolution and adaptation. The science of anger is best explained with the increase in the surge of adrenaline results in fight and not flight.

While the cause of anger is resolved, the effect of the resentment remains, and has to be dealt appropriately. This has been attributed due to the surge of adrenaline and the related physical effects of the surge in energy are taken either on another person or on an object or to self-harm.

Consequences of Anger:

There are two consequences of anger:
a.   You let your anger go off a free hand that will result either in uncontrolled verbal abuse or in physical abuse. This is the instance that the opponent or the cause of anger might also be in the same physical and emotional state, though you may be on the right side of judgment.
b.   Another possibility is to suppress the energy until you are angry next time and this can result in pent up emotions, which will increase the surge of adrenaline, and will lead to overreaction. The aftermath of this is frustration or shame and will result in repression of feelings.

Anger is managed when this happens on a mutual conflict in relationship, while the anger instigated on one person in purpose, then the other person is responsible for this scenario and will require psychological and psychiatric assessment for finding out the reason for their teasing habit.

How do you prepare yourself for anger management?

When you decide to seek help for anger management, you can do adopt one of the following strategies – anger management courses, anger management resources from a counselor, and programs.

People who can help you in finding one of these solutions are:
  • Your primary doctor can refer you to a counselor
  • Your friends and family can give you recommendations based on their prior experiences
  • Your health insurance, employee assistance programs and church can help you or provide you with the same service
  • Internet search and state or local agencies can recommend
  • Court and public and private libraries can provide you details on these support groups and resources

Managing your anger:

Anger management is the process of finding out the reasons for your anger, learning to take actions to resort the reasons emotionally in the first sense, followed by physical dealing of the situation in a very positive manner. This is not holding up your anger for penting up your emotions, and feeling angry has been recognized as a normal and healthy emotional feeling. The most effective way to control your anger is by taking a sincere positive approach with the help of anger management classes or with the help of a professional medical mental health counsellor.

a.   Recognizing why you are angry:

The feeling of anger has both positive and negative emotions. When you plan for managing your anger, the first step is to list out and make yourself aware of the positive feelings, for which you will require a second hand.
Some of the strategies to recognize the positive feelings of your anger are:
·        Seeking help from a non-contact competitive sport
·        Learning relaxation techniques and/or meditation
·        Shouting and screaming in a private and quiet place in loneliness to prevent further complications and has been advised for other issues also
·        Banging your fists onto your pillow
·        Running or dancing until exhaustion

These actions will in the foremost will help you to calm down the instant surge of adrenaline and the rush of energy to fight and will prevent bottling up feelings.

Anger management is like a volcano that can spit lava every now and then in small amounts via weak points easily without the requirement of much pressure to come out from the inner earth. If this does not occur, when the lava forces itself outside, then they build up pressure until there is enough pressure to force themselves outside, which when major natural volcanic calamity occurs.

How to identify the reasons for anger? Simple techniques of paying attention in identifying triggers and the physical and emotional signs will help in identifying and designing the best anger management program for the individual.
  • Identify the stressors that will trigger or worsen your anger like frustration, children, partner, financial stress and work-place issues.
  • Physical signs of your feelings of anger will include clenching your fists to control your anger or releasing the energy surge by driving your vehicle fasts. These are only a few examples.
  • Emotional signs will include like sensations to let out the excess energy or tactics of holding up your emotions.

b.   Anger Management:

Therapy and classes for managing your anger will include psychotherapeutic techniques and is done in one-on-one sessions, with partners, children and family members and in groups over a few months or weeks.

The aim of these courses will help you focus on various tasks of management of anger like:
  • Identify situations that are responsible for triggering those feelings that are non-aggressive initially and then can set you off those aggressive feelings and make you mad.
  • What triggers illogical thinking that is being blinded by anger and what can correct that.
  • Keeping yourself calm when you are upset.
  • Learning to express assertively your feelings that trigger the emotion of anger.
  • Focus on problem solving and conflict resolution, which relieves and releases the energy surge that comes when you get angry for resolving the situation.

c.   Dealing With Situations:

Dealing with those situations that triggers your anger will involve sincere effort and a well-prepared mind to face situations. This will require practice and you should be able to foresee the situations that can trigger anger. This will help you to deal with the situations and not your anger, and makes managing anger much easier.

1.   Step One: Make a list of situations that triggers anger in you. You may either note down immediately after you explode your anger out, or get someone to do this for you, or think back about this.
2.   Step Two: Ask yourself the following questions:
·        How do you make your list more precise?
·        Since, you are out of your mind when angry, is the person who is helping you, your friend and relative being reliable or is being factualist and not interpretive?
·        How do I keep the situation under control?
·        Imagine yourself to be the other person who is your well-wisher and is not getting angry and him/her to be in your shoes; and how you will advice and react.

These two are the most important and the first step that shows that you have decided to manage your anger.

d.   Anger Resolution and Not Conflict Resolution:

I will be discussing one of the most popular anger management technique that will be discussed here is the CUDSAIR methods, which was developed by Professor Richard Nelson-Jones. This tells you how to face anger to overcome the habit of getting angry or using angry as an instrument to get things done or using anger as a weapon. This is essential to manage anger for the physical surge that occurs in the course of the expression of the emotion anger, which when controlled and pented up or when this happens quite often is sure to take a toll on your health.

·        Confronting that you are angry is the first step to face the problem and not the person or the cause of the trigger. At this instance, this is good to state your emotions and feelings occurring within you. This will vary with every individual.
·        Understanding the trigger for anger not only in your shoes, but also in the shoes of the opponent is also important. This is when a third person, a counselor might be able to help, and this is called the process of conflict resolution. Listening to the point of view of both the individuals involved is important. The job of the counselor here will be to find out the differences of opinion.
·        One simple solution to these disagreements is to adopt the most popular Australian way of “Agree to Disagree”! Ultimately, you have achieved to define the cause of the problem for your anger. This is technically termed as Defining the problem.
·        On identifying the trigger for anger, Search for solutions. Finding solution is different from finding faults and blaming each other. Brainstorming all the possible solutions that you could think of as a counsellor and as victims, tell what you will feel as a just solution to the problem.
·        Agreeing to the solution resolved is a difficult job, but is in the hands of the counselor who is handling the case, to be smart enough and tactful to make both them agree mutually to a justful solution that the innocent be not blamed or will be the loser.
·        On agreement to a consensus solution to the trigger for the anger, you will start to Implement the solution, and set small targets and bigger goals in resolving the problem and in overcoming the residual anger. One has to note that this is not possible to change emotions unless you realize that you were on the wrong side. However, if you are on the side of righteousness, anger and resentment can only be managed. This is very important to move forward and go ahead in your life, and at the same time, forgetting not to resort the problem rather than live with the problem.
·        Reviewing the commitment and keeping track of how both the individuals involved are in the anger management classes doing with the plan designed for them on a case-by-case basis. The counselor will let you both go off happily either until both of you are able to meet each other peacefully or until he/she is happy that you are individually able to tackle your emotions of getting angry. Care has to be taken that overdoing these sessions can in fact trigger anger.

Why do we need to resort to anger management?

Anger can lead to various emotional mishaps to you like, frustrations, hating yourself for not being able to control your feeling, and resentment that you are not being allowed to be yourself and disrupting your peace of mind.

Coping anger well is a learned behavior unlikely to happen owing to frustration. Anger management will teach you how to use those trigger for anger in a way that the very same will work positively for you.

Feeling angry is a normal emotion and if you regret for the emotion triggered in you, then you are a learned human being. However, is best advised not to keep the anger within and try to talk about your anger to someone before these damages relationships. Some of the positive signs that an anger management program or course will work well for you will include:
·        Letting out your anger without penting this up! All you will experience is the feeling of holding your angry emotions with no physical and emotional damage.
·        Facing frequent argumentative conversations all of a sudden, that will include your partners and family members.
·        Breaking law and initiation of physical violence.
·        Threat to violence and property.
·        Reckless driving and breaking things during an argument.

Benefits of Anger Management:

Well, why should I control my anger? Everyone is quite used to this…but you will find more love and care when you get rid of anger. You will find that you are able to express your resentment and disappointment without getting angry or frustrated.

Managing anger effectively will help you to:
·        Argue less so that you will learn to communicate effectively with tactfulness with the happiness of not giving into and at the same time of not letting down your opponent.
·        Maintain a healthy lifestyle that you will find avoiding headaches, sleep problems, digestion problems and high blood pressure.
·        Depression and development of interpersonal relationship conflicts can be avoided.
·        Build confidence and perseverance over your frustrations by taking up the challenge and sorting problems to overcome difficulties.
·        Avoiding addictive habits and abuse of substances like alcohol, food and drugs.

Though anger management is a necessary and is something that a learned individual will exhibit, everyone have his or her limitations and threshold level. Keep in mind; this is not fair to test the ability of someone’s anger management skills.

The Plant, The Crop, The Ultimate Food - Rice!

Rice is one of the most widely consumed staple cereal food in the world. 89 % of the diet of Asians constitute rice; while, 45% of those who have their origin in the Western Countries have wheat as their major source of diet, rest consuming rice as major source of food. However, with increasing population and rising economical constraints with widening margin between the rich and the poor, especially in the Asian regions, the per capita consumption of rice is predicted to increase remarkably. This may in turn reflect on rice economy in those countries trying to become self-sufficient in rice production. But, what makes rice a major crop of the world and as a preferred staple food for many?

1. Nutritional Value:

FAO figures indicates that the rice supplies 698 calories per day; wheat 267 calories per day; maize 208 calories per day; millet and sorghum combined 145 calories per day.

Even though the chemical composition of rice varies with the genotype, the conditions under which they have been grown, their genetic factor and other environmental factor such as location and season of cultivation, fertilizer treatment, degree of milling and conditions of storage also influences the nutritional status of the crop and its yield.

In general rice grain contains: 80 % starch, 7.5 % protein, 0.5 % ash and 12 % water. The starch in rice is a mixture of amylase and amylopectin, and the proportion of these two determines the cooking and eating qualities of the rice. However, the carbohydrate status of the food does not affect the nutritional quality of the rice.In spite, of the fact that rice is a primary source of carbohydrate, is also the main source of protein. The main problem for rice eating population is with children for whom the protein requirements are very high and their stomach is too small to hold enough intake of rice, for it does not suffice their calorie requirements. In such instances, wheat is a good alternative, or supplements rice with legume diet. However, the point to be noted at this juncture is that, even though the protein content is quite small in rice the quality of the protein found in rice is superior to wheat, maize or sorghum.

For example, lysine,For example, lysine, the most important limiting essential amino acid constitutes 4 percent of rice protein, which is twice the amount of that found in flour or hulled maize. Two other essential amino acids, threonine and methionine are higher in rice protein than in wheat, maize or sorghum. However, the quantity of these amino acids is less than the required daily intake and so has to be supplemented with an additional grain legume, fish or meat in their diet. Like all other cereals rice do lack vitamin A, D and C. Nevertheless, small amounts of niacin, riboflavin and threonine are found in brown rice than in unpolished rice, as the B-complex vitamins are concentrated largely in the barn and germ. Home-pounded rice and par boiled rice are usually found to contain large amount of these vitamins than polished rice. This is the reason why nutritionists recommend eating brown rice. However, there is a "cultural stigma" on the economical status in consumption of brown rice, as brown rice is packaged before the polishing stage and, hence does not take into account the cost of polishing; and so the overall cost is less, and the cooking quality of the rice is reduced.

2. Negatives Can Also Be Positive:

Nevertheless, poor nutritional resources in rice as a staple food, like low in proteins, minerals and vitamins, in fact contributes advantageously for placing rice as a main food, for many in the world is the readiness of the carbohydrates to be digested with ease, and that in turn improve its protein utilization efficiency - 63 for rice, compared with 49 for wheat and 36 for maize. Above all, rice is relatively non-allergenic, which means cases of hypersensitivity reaction to this cereal food are rare. This is the main reason for rice being prescribed as not only the main source of diet for hypersensitive patients, but also as the first source of diagnostic staple diet sans other ingredients, followed by adding other sources one by one, until the source of allergen is identified. Moreover, the low sodium content in rice allows rice to be recommended as a good diet for patients suffering from hypertension. Overall, the acceptability of rice as a food has increased the demand by all countries to become self-sufficient. Consequently, rice has a foreseeable future, and in fact all rice-producers are unrelentingly looking forward to increase the rice yield and the total production and productivity of rice.

3. Agricultural Produce:

From the peasant's frame of mind for world-wide cultivation in various soil types and terrain using irrigation and monsoon-dependent agriculture, rice is the only available semi-aquatic cereal crop. In other words, rice is the only crop that thrives and survives under standing water, while majority of the world's most important crops like cassava, wheat, sorghum, yam, white potatoes, and sweet potatoes all dies. Rice is the only crop that can be grown year after year in standing water without any problems. In addition, the increased silicon content in rice hulls, to a lesser degree in their leaves and stems, enhances its resistance to insect and pathogen attack, which is a common problem frequently encountered under waterlogged conditions. Above all, rice also grows in a wide range of soil conditions ranging from acidic to alkaline conditions, the fact being that the pH of the soil gets neutralized to acceptable levels under waterlogged conditions.
